Ute STEM Field Work Videos

In the summer of 2017 and 2018, Ute elders, Ute youth, and scientists visited sites in the Western Slope and the San Luis Valley in Colorado, and explored the intersections between Traditional Ute Ecological Knowledge and science, technology,  engineering, and math (STEM).

This nine-part video series forms an educational, digital exhibition of the Ute STEM project. Follow along with the young people who participated in the project and learn with them about the history, culture, and traditional knowledge of the Ute of Colorado.

The videos are part of the Ute STEM Project, funded by the National Science Foundation, which is a collaboration between the three Ute Tribes, History Colorado and scientists.
