Women's History Posters

The Center for Colorado Women’s History at the Byers-Evans House and the 2019 Womxn’s March Denver have selected four posters from their Women’s History Poster Contest celebrating the historic and modern contributions of women in struggles for voting rights. The top poster, “Women of Color: The Rest of the Story,” by Adri Norris, depicts the history of voting rights and showcases unsung heroes of women's suffrage through an intersectional lens.

The call for posters requested artwork that reflects the power and urgency of voting, celebrations of women’s suffrage and activism, and the values of adventurous dialogue about the intersections of gender, race, and class that are explored at the Center for Colorado Women’s History.

Other selections include “Flower Power,” by Emily Cizek, “Vote Equals Voice,” by Cindy Fesgen, and “No Limits,” by Julia Frew.
