Governor's Residence Volunteer Opportunities
Governor's Residence volunteer docents provide tours of this elegant and historic home to the general public.
Desired Schedule:
Volunteers are asked to work a minimum of 12 shifts/year.
Job Description:
Serves as a representative for the Governor's Residence Preservation Fund, supporting the organization's mission.
Responsibilities:
Historic Public Tours/Holiday Tours/Doors Open Denver
- Docents are familiar with all types of public tours given at the residence.
- Comfortable working with a variety of people of all ages.
- Conveys historical facts and stories to further the learning and enjoyment of our visitors.
- Assists Governor's Residence Preservation Fund (GRPF) staff with guest services.
- Ability to stand and talk for three to four hours at a time.
Special Events
- Conveys historical facts and stories to further the learning and enjoyment of our visitors.
- Assists GRPF staff with guest services such as coat checks, greeting, name tags, ushering, light butler services.
