This architecturally significant building was constructed between 1886 and 1889.  The imposing two-story red brick structure is trimmed extensively in stone. 

The nationally significant Bent's New Fort in the Lamar vicinity was built by William Bent in the winter of 1852–1853.  The fort was used as a trading post and the Upper Arkansas Indian Agency from 1853 to 1859, after which time the U.S. Army leased it from 1860 to 1866. 

The 1909 two-story building is a good example of an early 20th century local government administrative center, combining offices for the town’s governing board, administrative offices, police station, city jail, fire station, and public meeting rooms.

The Debus Farm is representative of the agrarian heritage of Logan County, an early 20th century leader in the northeastern Colorado sugar beet industry.

At an altitude of 9,405 feet, the resort played an important role in the development of tourism and recreation in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

Although now largely collapsed, the 1890 wooden pin-connected, six-panel Howe through truss was an essential span over the Grande (Colorado) River.

Completed in 1940, the steel deck arch features steel components from the Minnesota-Moline Power and Implement Company. 

Camp Hale served as the training site for the U.S. Army’s 10th Mountain Division during World War II. 

The site is a multiple-component prehistoric camp and habitation with at least five occupations represented. 

The 1934 Tigiwon Community House is an important example of Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal program with the Civilian Conservation Corps and the Forest Service constructing the building as part of the campaign of natural resource enhancement undertaken by the Forest Service during the New Deal era.
