An important site in the educational history of Denver, South High's Italian Renaissance Revival style building is also significant for its magnificent architecture, playful sculpture, and elegant murals.

The Soldner Home and Studio is a nationally significant place for its association with the life and work of renowned American ceramic artist Paul Soldner, known as the “Father of American Raku” for the Japanese-inspired ceramic technique he pioneered in 1960.

The Florence High School is significant for its contribution to education in the City of Florence. The resource reflects significance in the area of education as a representation of an early-twentieth century high school that remained in service of its community for almost a full century first as a high school and later as a junior high school. The resource reflects significance for its representation of the Classical Revival  The and Modern Movements architectural styles.

The Centennial House is significant for its use as a waystation in Golden Gate Canyon between Golden and the historic mining bonanza that occurred in Central City and Black Hawk in the latter half of the nineteenth century. For over a decade, the Centennial House was a frequently visited stopping point and an integral part of the Golden Gate Canyon journey. Centennial House provided a respite for travelers along the canyon’s Gregory Toll Road who used the popular waystation for a meal, accommodation, or rest for their animals.

The 1906 Yellow Creek Schoolhouse merits inclusion in the Colorado State Register of Historic Properties as a representative of rural schools in Rio Blanco County during the first half of the twentieth century. It served as the education center of school age children of the northern Rio Blanco County area for nearly forty years. Similar to other rural schools, the Yellow Creek Schoolhouse building also served as a social center for local residents, likely including families with pupils as well as those without children.

Nestled in Moraine Park in Rocky Mountain National Park, the beautifully preserved Rustic style Vincent-Hatchette cabin is a rare example of a privately held vacation home in the park. The cabin was also associated with important early child psychologist Elizabeth Lee Vincent.

Built in 1898, the Holdsworth House/Aspenholme, Pines Lodge is significant as an intact example of a Shingle-style residence in a mountain resort setting. The building is further significant for its association with British members of the “English Colony” near Westcliffe, Custer County, Colorado, who brought British cultural traditions to the area beginning in the 1870s and extending into the first decades of the twentieth century. The lodge is also important, for its role as a lodge accommodating visitors to The Pines and serving as a focal point for the larger development.

The Bachelor-Commodore Mine Complex is significant for its association with the mining industry that created enormous wealth for its investors, promoted the settlement of the town of Creede and Mineral County, contributed to the local growth of dependent industries, such as farming and ranching, and evolved to encompass changing processes and labor practices. The Bachelor and Commodore mines were two of the biggest producers of ore within the Creede Mining District, then later, when their workings and output were combined, they had the most productive years of all the Creede-area mines.

The Scott Apartments and Garage at 900 S. College Avenue represents Fort Collins’ adaptation of a new type of residential housing: the commuter-friendly apartment building, aimed at working class professionals. While there is no attributed architect, Gustav Edwin Lundborg probably designed the building. Prolific Fort Collins-based contractor Herman Schroeder was the contracted builder. The company aimed to cater to middle and working class Fort Collins residents during a population boom for the city.

The 1900-01 McFadden Barn is located in the west headquarters of the McFadden Homestead, north-northwest of the Town of Buena Vista in unincorporated Chaffee County, Colorado. The building has a stone foundation, a log frame with unusual tying joinery, walls clad with horizontal boards, and overhead sliding doors. Main floor entrances are on its north and east walls, and lower level access is on the south. The gabled roof has overhanging eaves, is clad with corrugated metal roofing panels, and holds two louvered wood cupolas.
