Built in 1874, the house is considered to be one of the few remaining planked log buildings in Colorado. From 1874 to 1905, the house played an important role in the development of Grand County.  During this period, it functioned as a stage stop and the only post office between Georgetown and Hot Sulphur Springs.  

The "Kenjockety" cabin property is significant under politics and government and entertainment/recreation as an excellent example of the United States Forest Service Recreation Residence program.  The cabins are one of two "isolated cabin" properties classified as such by the Forest Service remaining today within the Arapaho National Forest.  Kenjockety is the only such cabin property in the Arapaho National Forest continually used by several generations of the same family for the purpose of seasonal recreational use. 

The Barger Gulch Locality B site is significant in the area of Prehistoric Archaeology as it has and will continue to yield information about the early Paleoindian prehistory of the Rocky Mountains.  Characterized by repeated use it is also important in the areas of settlement, social history, and industry.  The site provides a rare glimpse into the Folsom time period. 

In 1918, the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad constructed Snowplow AX-044 to meet its specific needs for dependable snow removal equipment to maintain its mountainous route.

The 4 Bar 4 Ranch Stagecoach Station and Hotel is important for its association with transportation as a long-standing stagecoach station and hotel along the Georgetown and Hot Sulphur Springs Stagecoach Route beginning in 1895.

The 1928-29 concrete slab bridge includes seven 19-foot spans.  It crosses Spring Creek on a now lightly traveled portion of US Hwy. 24 that runs parallel to I-70 between Siebert and Vona.

Constructed in 1915, this rural schoolhouse was originally located 13 miles southeast of Flagler.  Consolidation forced the school to close, and it remained vacant for many years.

Since its construction in 1909, by W.L. Price and W.H. Lavington, the building has housed a variety of functions important to the community’s growth.  From 1909 to approximately 1930, the building operated as a hotel. 

The Sim Hudson Motor Company played a major role in the development of automobile sales and service in Burlington.  Beginning as the Golden Belt Garage, during Sim Hudson’s ownership of the property his dealership sold and serviced Chevrolets.  His facility also sold auto parts, dispensed gasoline through curbside pumps and stored automobiles for customers without garages.  He commissioned a new Art Deco facade that, when completed in 1932, gave the dealership a modern eye-catching appearance. 

The 1905 carousel is a rare surviving example of a stationary menagerie carousel built by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company for Denver’s Elitch Gardens.
