CSCA programs, developed by curatorial and collections staff, offer history lovers the opportunity to hear in person from individuals making history matter. Find out about the many ways to use and access History Colorado’s permanent collection, gather research tips, learn about caring for historic materials, and even take courses on professional museum practices.

History Colorado’s Tours & Treks is back with an exciting line-up of trips to enrich your understanding of our state’s history. Walk in the footsteps of those who came before and learn the stories behind the sights. In 2026, we are excited to visit Colorado Springs to earn a gold medal for our knowledge of our state’s Olympic history, toast Colorado’s beer tradition over a couple of cold ones, take a bite out of Aurora’s food scene while we hear about the city’s history, contemplate the cosmos as we gaze at the dark skies above Mesa Verde, learn the roots of Japanese-American farming and see its growth, discover Boulder’s Black History, delight in the weird and wonderful of Cripple Creek, marvel at the form and function of adobe in Taos, and more! We'll see how the past has informed the present, ponder how place helps us understand our history, and so much more on a series of trips specially designed to inspire wonder!
