The Littleton Post Office was built in 1939 and was the city’s major Works Progress Administration (WPA) project during the Great Depression.

The 1909 Lon and Tillie Filoon House is an excellent example of a Late 19^th and Early 20^th Century American Movement style house with Classical Revival influences.

Built in 1902 by the Colorado & Southern Railway, C&S Gondola No. 4319 is a good example of a C&S “Low Side” narrow gauge gondola railcar, which incorporated the very latest technology of the time.

Established on Forest Service land in ca. 1938, the Claybaugh Cow Camp served as seasonal housing for the ranching family of J.B. (Bruce) Claybaugh, owner of the Cross Bar Cross Ranch in the Grand Valley, and their cowpunchers as they grazed over 2,000 head of cattle on the Grand Mesa during the summer months.

The striking St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, built in the Denver suburb of Northglenn in 1964, is one of Boulder-based master architect Charles Haertling’s finest designs.

Built ca. 1922, the John C. Shaffer Barn is part of an approximately 10-acre site that was historically the headquarters of the Ken Caryl Ranch.

The 1905 Animas City School was the only public school servicing Animas City, a small town north of Durango founded in 1876, until Animas City’s School District #1 was incorporated into Durango’s School District #9 in 1939.
