This section contains the rules and procedures governing a State-Approved Museum or Cultural Repository as well as the application form, guidance on loaning artifacts/fossils to other institutions and guidelines and forms for the disposition of non-curatable items.
This section has many resources to help State-Approved Repositories with their collections care needs. There is a collections management policy template, an emergency plan template, re-housing guidance, program email newsletter information and on-line confab information and past Curation Alliance Forum events.
Here you can find information about volunteer and internship opportunities, a list of suggested collections for re-study and re-housing as well as a list of collections with their corresponding repositories.
Looking for a curation agreement with a State repository for your archaeology or paleontology project? This section includes the official list of all State-Approved repositories to obtain your curation agreement. The section also has a map of all current accepting repositories, our State Submission Standards, a blank official Receipt for Deposit form and inventory template, a request form for destructive analysis and a request form for approval of transportation of collections out of Colorado for research or analysis.
