St. Charles River Bridge (CDOT No. L-19-C)

Pueblo County

Crossing the St. Charles River west of Pueblo, the 1945 steel rigid connected Parker through truss structure's single span runs for 150 feet.  The bridge was designed by the Colorado Department of Highways, fabricated by Midwest Steel & Iron Works, and built by Frank M. Kenney.

Still in use at its original location, it remains intact as a rare surviving example of what was a mainstay structural type utilized for vehicular bridge construction in Colorado.  Listed under Highway Bridges in Colorado Multiple Property Submission.
