Archaeology & Preservation Webinar Series
El Pueblo was a mid-19th Century trading post on the Arkansas River, built on what was then the Mexican-American border. It lasted for about 12 years, destroyed in a Christmas Day raid in 1854. It was excavated in the 1990s by Dr. William Buckles. Learn about the history and archaeology of this scrappy little fort!
