Join us at Trinidad History Museum for Hands-On History Camp! Hands-On History provides safe, engaging learning opportunities for elementary & middle school children (grades 1st through 8th).

WHEN:   July 15th - August 9th , 8 am- 4 pm.
COST $100/week per student

Weekly themes:

WEEK 1, JULY 15-JULY 19: GARDEN TO TABLE

During this camp, students will learn about plants and gardening, how plants around us were used by homesteaders, and how we can help our environment through art projects, conducting experiments, and planting seeds!

WEEK 2, JULY 22-JULY 26: AMAZING ANIMALS

From mice to blue whales, this week is all about animals! We’ll learn about different habitats and the animals that call them home and explore the amazing creatures that live in our own backyard!

WEEK 3, JULY 29-AUGUST 2: HISTORY UNEARTHED!

Let’s be archaeologists! Campers will compare different archaeological discoveries around the world, investigate artifacts and their origins, and conduct their own mini-excavations!

WEEK 4, AUGUST 5-AUGUST 9: GOING FOR THE GOLD

Are you ready for the 2024 Olympics? Trinidad History Museum will be putting its own spin on the summer games! Campers will learn the history of this major sports event, explore the connection between baseball and mining, and participate in some museum Olympics–of their own creation!
