The History Colorado Bus Fund offers field trip assistance to underrepresented schools wishing to visit all History Colorado museums. The funding covers bus transportation (driver and fuel). Schools are responsible for making their own transportation arrangements and paying for the bus. Schools will be reimbursed up to $200. Applicants must complete an application form and submit it with a bus voucher/receipt for reimbursement.
Schools must qualify for Title I funding.
Schools must have a reservation to visit the History Colorado Center, El Pueblo History Museum, Byers-Evans House Museum, Trinidad History Museum, Fort Garland Museum or the Fort Vasquez Museum prior to applying for bus fund monies.
School must submit a completed application form and a W-9 form.
Bus reimbursement will be given in the form of a check to the district office.
A bus voucher or receipt needs to be submitted for reimbursement.
Schools are allowed up to $200 reimbursement.
The bus fund is on a first come, first served basis.
Please print, have parents sign, and bring the photo release form (see PDF download link below) with you on the day of your field trip. We will be taking "Thank You Card" pics for our generous funders. History Colorado respects the wishes of those students whose families do not wish for them to be photographed.
