19th Street Bridge
Denver County
The 1878 flooding of the South Platte River prompted a series of bridge replacements.
In 1888, the Missouri Valley Bridge and Iron Company of Leavenworth, Kansas constructed this pin connected, five-panel, two-span steel Pratt through truss, one of the state’s most ornamental. It remains in use for pedestrian traffic. The property is associated with the Highway Bridges in Colorado Multiple Property Submission.
