The La Jara Archaeological District is a cultural landscape that represents approximately 10,000 years of human occupation and provides information regarding the cultural groups that have occupied the area throughout the past.
Such occupation by multiple ethnic groups demonstrates the nature of the area as a place where varied peoples have lived in proximity to one another for many, many years and the Biedell Creek Archaeological District is significant in anthropological and historical studies from the Paleo-Indian to Proto-Historic eras.
