Adams County
The 1908 Colorado Sanitary Canning Factory is important for housing German prisoners of war during World War II in 1945.
It is also a good example of local ornamental concrete block construction applied to an early twentieth-century manufacturing building. The building meets the requirements for listing under the Multiple Property Documentation Form (MPDF) Ornamental Concrete Block Buildings in Colorado, 1900-1940, under the associated property type Ornamental Concrete Block Commercial/Industrial Buildings.
