Fleeing the Greek Civil war, brothers Chris and William Dracon settled in Julesburg in 1915. Chris would purchase the original farm that same year. William, his wife Sophia, and seven children would settle on the land in the 1920s. William and Sophia’s son George purchased the land from his uncle Chris in 1962.  Since then, George and his wife Delores have managed the Dracon Grain Company which provides livestock grains and feed, in addition to grain storage and sales to the surrounding farming community.
