Fox Stone Barn
Boulder County
The circa 1900 Fox Stone Barn is a good example of a method of construction once common in the foothills area of Boulder County.
The ready availability of locally quarried sandstone allowed property owners to construct simple stone barns at a time when wood frame barn designs were much more common throughout the state. It is one of the best surviving examples of this barn type in Boulder County. The property is associated with the Agricultural Resources of Boulder County Multiple Property Submission.
