Golconda Mine

The complex includes an unusual two-story log boarding house constructed at an elevation of 12,400 feet.  Extracting lead, zinc, copper, and some gold and silver, the operation encompassed over 7,000 feet of underground workings as of 1947.  Listed under Hinsdale County Metal Mining and Mining Industry in Colorado Multiple Property Submissions.
