Centennial Farms & Ranches

Hohnholz Ranch, Inc.

Larimer County

Hohnholz Ranch was purchased by current part-owner Holly Golen’s grandparents in 1916 or 1917. Her grandmother, Emma, milked 35 cows to sell cream and butter through the Depression.

Bob and Phyllis Hohnholz took over ownership of the ranch in the 1950s and their daughter, Holly, and her husband lived and worked on the ranch from 1975 until 2011 before moving the Denver area.  Holly still manages ranch operations while also working as a brand inspector.  The ranch continues to run cattle and operations are overseen by Holly’s sister Merrilee.
