Humboldt Street Historic District
Denver County
Located west of Cheesman Park, the district includes 24 large residences constructed between 1895 and 1920. Relatively simple versions of the Foursquare style are represented as well as richly detailed examples of other popular styles of the period such as the Colonial Revival, Georgian Revival, and Renaissance Revival.
Prominent Denver architectural firms including Marean and Norton, Willison and Fallis, and the Baerresen Bros. were among the designers. The district reflects the type of residences owned and occupied by some of the city’s most influential and wealthy citizens of the period.
