McClure House / Strathmore Hotel

Constructed in 1872, the three-story brick commercial structure reflects the vernacular building tradition of the territorial period.

McClure House / Strathmore Hotel 

It is believed to be the oldest building in Colorado used continuously as a hotel.  The builder was William H. McClure, a civic leader and early developer of the town, who may also have been responsible for the building’s design.
