Portland Bridge
Fremont County
Constructed in 1927, the eight-panel steel Pratt semi-deck truss extended 150’ over the Arkansas River and Denver & Rio Grande Railroad tracks.
The bridge was constructed by H.M. Fox of Florence, Colorado and was an example of a semi-deck truss subtype, an unusual structural configuration featuring floor beams joined to the vertical members but not the upper or lower truss chords. The Colorado Department of Transportation replaced the bridge in 2014.
