Rob & June Ulrich Farm

Weld County

Pete & Anna Ulrich immigrated to the US from Russia.  They spent a few years farming for others in Kansas before moving on to Greeley and LaSalle, eventually purchasing the farm that their grandson Rod and his wife June own today.  Pete had a small dairy ranch and raised corn and hay to feed his dairy cattle. The farm slowly transitioned from a dairy to today’s farm and feedlot. Rod and June Ulrich raise corn and alfalfa on a 160 acre ranch near LaSalle just as Pete Ulrich did 100 years ago.  Today Rod and June, in partnership with Rod’s brother Max and his nephew, Peter Ulrich, run a feedlot with 1500 head of cattle. The Ulrich family carries on the family tradition, raising corn, hay, and alfalfa to feed their cattle. Hopefully the fifth generation will continue on past the hundred year anniversary with hopes of someday having it become a 150 year farm.
