Washington County Courthouse

Washington County

The courthouse served as the center of Washington County politics and government from the completion of construction in 1910.  Prominent Denver architect John J. Huddart designed the building.

A view of the courthouse with red brick walls, white trim and entrance in the center partially obscured by trees. On top of the building is a hipped roof with dormer in the center and jutting white tower in the middle with red cupola next to waving American flag in front.

Huddart designed courthouses for eight Colorado counties along with numerous residential, commercial and civic structures.
