Wind Ridge

Larimer County

Built between 1915-1930 as a summer residence for Clark and Elizabeth Blickensderfer, the complex remains a good local example of Craftsman / Rustic style architecture.

A black and white photo of the building with porch on the right and large windows throughout. There are a couple leafy trees on the left.

Blickensderfer, a prominent amateur photographer, specialized in soft focus format photographs which brought him national and international praise during the 1920s and early 1930s.  Scenes from Rocky Mountain National Park and the surrounding area made up a significant portion of his work.  Wind Ridge served as a base for his photographic expeditions as well as a facility for the developing and printing of his black and white images.
