Grants Awarded
Colorado Main Street Program
Created by the National Trust for Historic Preservation in 1980, the Colorado Main Street Program promotes preservation and revitalization of historic commercial districts throughout the state.
By encouraging local communities to restore and protect their historic sites, the program helps maintain the overall heritage of Colorado. Main Street has provided in-depth and hands-on support for districts such as Brush, Cliffs, Lamar, Lyons, Montrose, Lake City, and Victor, the latter two of which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. With SHF funding, a preservation architect will join the Main Street team and provide assistance with project planning and design.
