John Fielder passed away on August 11, 2023. He left behind an incredible legacy along with thousands of his photographs, most of which are now a permanent part of the History Colorado Collection. They are available to use for a nominal fee.
I’ve seen dozens of mountain goats in the wild, but I could never have dreamed of such an intimate encounter with a 250-pound male. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life in the out-of-doors.
