Katy Ordway is a fifth-generation Colorado native with a BA and an MA in history from the University of Colorado Denver. She is the author of Colorado’s Rodeo Roots to Modern Day Cowboys. She now teaches Colorado history at Red Rocks Community College. As a skier, her deepest regret is that she did not spend a year or two as a ski bum.
