Boulder County Poor Farm

Boulder County

While use of the property as a private farm dates from 1897, it served as a home for the county’s less fortunate citizens during a period from 1902 through 1918.

Boulder County Poor Farm

The farm complex as a whole survives as a reasonably intact collection of agricultural buildings reflecting the typical design, materials, and construction techniques found in Boulder County during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.  The main house remains a good local example of Queen Anne style architecture.  The property is associated with the Agricultural Resources of Boulder County Multiple Property Submission.
