The first two floors are of brick and the attic story is of wood with decorative diamond-shaped shingles and lattice-work.  Thomas Hornsby Ferril, poet laureate of Colorado and foremost figure in the literary history of Denver and Colorado, lived in the house from 1900 until his death in 1988.
