Kaylyn Mercuri Flowers holds bachelor’s degrees in history and political science from Furman University. She completed a master’s in public history from the University of Colorado Denver in 2019. After years of pursuing her love for the museum field she now works in outreach services at the Louisville Historical Museum in Louisville, Colorado.

    During my years in public life I always worked harder than my staff and tried to justify the confidence placed in me by the nine governors whom I served, regardless of politics. I thoroughly enjoyed my work for more than half a century in a Man’s World—or since I worked in Wyoming and Colorado perhaps I should say—in a Women’s World, too!
