DENVER — January 10, 2023 — The 2023 applications for Colorado’s Centennial Farms & Ranches program have opened. Centennial Farms & Ranches program, a joint initiative of History Colorado and the Colorado Department of Agriculture, honors the contributions of the state’s ranching and farming families who have withstood the pressures of growth, changes in farming methods, drought, and economic conditions to preserve important pieces of our state's commercial and cultural history.

DENVER — December 20, 2022 —History Colorado is happy to announce the return of its Tours and Treks adventure series and release a full schedule of exciting outings for 2023. With events going back 50+ years, Tours and Treks is one of History Colorado’s longest running series and consistently offers an assortment of expeditions to enrich our understanding of the history of Colorado and beyond.
DENVER — December 15, 2022 — History Colorado’sState Archaeologist, Dr. Holly Norton, presented a second quarterly report about Federal Indian Boarding Schools in Colorado to the Colorado Commission of Indian Affairs (CCIA) on December 15, 2022.
DENVER — December, 13, 2022 — History Colorado’sState Historical Fund awarded more than $4.5 million on Dec. 1 in its second round of General Grants for 2022. This funding is distributed amongst 23 grant awardees from across Colorado with a focus on protecting the rich cultural heritage of communities of color in rural Colorado and diversifying the face of historic preservation for future generations.
